Partner Determination

Partner functions 1. Sold to Party SP – Specifies the customer placing the order with the company.2. Ship to Party SH – Specifies the customer receiving the goods.3. Bill to Party BP –Specifies the customer receiving the bill.4. Payer – PY – Specifies the Customer paying the bill amount.(Note 1. All the partners may be same or they differ.2. If all the partners are same, we need to crate the customer as “Sold to Party”.3. If the partners differ, we need to create those partners and specify the corresponding members in the Master data of SP4. Depending upon the requirement one SP can have multiple BPs, multiple SHs, multiple PYs.5. We have the Partner function in the Master Data of only SP.)PARTNER DETERMINITAION PROCEDURETo get the Partner functions in a customer Master data, we have to customize the Partner Determination Procedure.SPROSales & DistributionBasic functionsPartner determination Set up Partner determinationSet up Partner determination for Customer Master.Step 1 – Creating Partner FunctionsSelect “Partner Functions”For a Partner function if we check the field “Unique” we cannot have multiple partners of that function in a Customer Master.Step 2 – Assigning Partner functions to Account group.Select “Account groups-Function Assignment”Go to “New Entries” and “Assign” the Required Partner functions to the Account group.Step 3 – Defining Partner Determination Procedure.Select “Partner Determination Procedures”Go to “New Entries” and define the Procedure.(Note The procedure contains required Partner Functions.)Step 4 – Placing Partner function in Procedure.Select the defined Procedure and go to “Partner functions in Procedure”.Go to New Entries and enter the required Partner Functions.For a Partner function, if we check the field Not Modifiable, it cannot be changed in the Customer Master.If we check the field Mandatory function, it becomes a must in Customer Master.Step 5 – Assigning the Procedure to Account group.Select “Partner Determination Procedure Assignment”Select the required Account group and Assign the Procedure.
